BRAC is Living Goods’ vital joint venture partner in Uganda. One of the early pioneers of micro finance, today BRAC is one of the world’s largest, most efficient and effective development organizations. Operating in Bangladesh since the 1970s, it serves over five million micro credit borrowers and operates its lending profitably, despite charging below market interest. BRAC implements truly integrated development programs encompassing not just lending but agriculture, education, health and industrial development. BRAC runs large scale programs in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Southern Sudan and Uganda. Click here to read more about our partnership with BRAC.
BRAC recently established BRAC USA to raise awareness of BRAC’s successful community development model, mobilize resources and cultivate business partnerships to support BRAC’s global expansion.
